My 2002 NSX

Photos of my 2002 NSX (#152)

I remember the first time I noticed the NSX... it was in late 1990. I was in the grocery store and I saw it on the cover of an automotive magazine. From the instant I saw the picture, I knew it was my dream car. The lines and styling were classic of an exotic sportscar. The fact that it was engineered and built by Honda was a major plus. After reading the article about the car, I knew that if I ever had the money, I would buy one.

After almost 10 years of dreaming about owning an NSX, the dream finally came true. I purchased a 2000 NSX-T (#172) with spa yellow pearl exterior, black leather interior, and 6-speed manual transmission. The NSX comes from the factory with a full compliment of luxury accessories - electronic power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, power door locks, power remote mirrors, climate control, Bose premium sound system with sub-woofer, power antenna, power remote trunk latch, remote engine bay latch, remote hood latch, tilt/telescoping steering column, and the list goes on. The Dealer installed options I got included chromed triple-forged factory aluminum wheels, wheel locks, keyless remote entry, floormats, and a CD changer.

After owning the NSX for a while now, I can easily say that I would have never imagined how wonderful this car really is. The experience is hard to explain. I could spout out the performance numbers... but that doesn't describe what it's like to drive an NSX. It's the handling, the feedback through the steering wheel, the response of the throttle, the clutch, and the brakes... it's the feeling that comes through the seat of your pants... the engineering, the fit, the finish, the ergonomics. Everything about the NSX says, "Supercar!"
